The Effects of Exercise
Have you ever been around soemone who seems to be fishing for a compliment or praise? I like to fish but not for fake compliments. When I finish speaking I tend to try and find a reason not to go to the back of the meeting place so that people don't feel the obligation to say "Nice talk preacher...blah, blah, blah." If someone wants to talk to me then I want them to want to find me and talk to me with whatever is on their mind.
I say this to preface this blog post. I seem to struggle trying to figure out how much to admit publically in my life as to what I am feeling at times. I can be a prophet and a promoter, but I struggle with being pellucid (transparent).
Recently I have been kind of down about some things going on in my life (I won't go into what), and though I don't have any answers I do want to share something that I think might benefit everyone who reads this blog...exercise.
It has been found that exercise has a tremendous effect on our not only our physical self but also our mental (and I would say spiritual) health. Last year when I got Lymes disease the only relief I got was when I would go for a run. My training for a marathon provided plenty of time to get my adrenaline up and flowing.
My knees have been holding up fairly well and I continue to see the results of not only exercise on helping keep my weight somewhat down, but also to help me think more clearly, focus on solutions, and spend time in prayer.
My encouragment to you...get out of your house, apartment, office, or whever you find yourself, and get some exercise. Even 20 minutes of walking will have an effect, and you may find that not only does your body change, you will have more energy, your spirit may be lifted, and your spiritual life may grow deeper.

I know what you mean about walking.
I have been going on one-hour walks in the morning 4 days a week.
It has been amazing...
